Lucas and I spent a lovely weekend in Rye, East Sussex recently to celebrate my 28th birthday. We stayed in the most beautiful little cottage and really enjoyed exploring this wonderful town. Here's a few snapshots from our visit.

We stayed in Wistaria Cottage, part of The Ship Inn, and couldn't have chosen a more perfect place. The cottage was beautifully decorated, had a lovely little garden and a Smeg fridge filled with delicious local jams.

We loved everything about the cottage, which made it pretty difficult to leave. We will definitely be back!

The adorable garden was the perfect setting for fish and chips on our first night. We couldn't name half of the plants, but there were many and it was beautiful!

This was our first visit to Rye and we spent a lovely Saturday afternoon exploring the town. We'd never seen so many vintage and antiques shops in one area and we came home with a car full of old treasures and trinkets.

We were excited to spot one of our prints from our sister site The Calm Gallery in a local cafe!

We spent much of my birthday at Camber Sands beach chilling out and eating ice cream. It was blissful.

We are already planning our next excuse for visiting again.
