Back in November last year the lovely girls from Dashing Magazine  asked if they could pop round to our place for a little interview and photo shoot for their very first issue. We were thrilled to be included in the fantastic online publication, which we've been great fans of ever since.

The lovely Fanni Williams took some beautiful photographs of our little house in East Dulwich, as well as the two of us and our two cats! Fanni has very kindly allowed us to post some photographs she took for the Dashing shoot here.

Wanted: Office assistant, order packer and all-round helper for our two brands: Alphabet Bags and Keep Calm Gallery.
Where: At our (new) office a few miles south of Cambridge.
When: From early October to late December, full time.

Alphabet Bags (and our sister site Keep Calm Gallery) is looking for a lovely pair of helping hands! We are looking for somebody who can work with us on with a large range of day-to-day tasks to help us through our busy Autumn and Winter period.

Tasks will include:
- Helping customers with enquiries via email
- Preparing & wrapping orders for dispatch
- Stock mangagement & organisation
- Quality control

Our ideal person:
- Is efficient and organised
- Is happy to undertake repetitive & lengthy tasks
- Can operate a Mac computer
- Pays excellent attention to detail and takes pride in everything they do
- Knows a good joke or two

The position will be full time (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm) for a temporary period, starting early October until late December 2012. There will also be the possibility for a permanent position or further temporary work after this period, to be discussed at a later date.

Back in April we had our first ever photo shoots for Alphabet Bags with a professional photographer and stylist. It was a fantastic few days during which we learned a lot thanks to our brilliant team. Although the weather was freezing for the outside shoot (in April!), everyone did such a great job and we were so pleased with how the pictures turned out. Here's a few behind the scenes snaps from the shoots:

For our second shoot the fantastic design shop and cafe Drink, Shop & Do very kindly let us use their space. With so much lovely furniture and lots of wonderful spaces the cafe provided the perfect backdrop for our product shoot. They hold some brilliant events too, you should definitely check them out. Also have to mention that their brownies are just the best we've ever had (and sprinkled with glitter)!
